Tianjin's GDP in the first three quarters of 2021 reached nearly 1.14 trillion yuan, up 8.6% year on year, according to a press conference held by the Information Office of Tianjin Municipal People's Government. The average growth for the period over the last two years was 4.2%.
In the first three quarters, the added-value of the city's high-tech industries and emerging industries of strategic importance increased by 16.7% and 13.1%, respectively.
Industrial and services enterprises above the designated size in Tianjin increased their annual profits by 10.6%.
Per capita disposal income reached 37,572 yuan in Tianjin in the first three quarters, up 9.0% year-on-year. Over 309,700 new jobs were created in the city's labor market.
Per capita consumer spending in Tianjin was 24,387 yuan in the first three quarters, up by 16.9% year on year.
CPI maintained a modest growth, increasing by 0.9% year on year in the first three quarters. The survey office anticipates the CPI to maintain a modest growth for the rest of 2021.
