A residential building in Haidian district of Beijing is under closed-off management after a parcel sent from Inner Mongolia tested positive for coronavirus.
On Monday, a building of a residential community in Haidian district was put under closed-off management after an outer packaging of a parcel delivered to a resident there from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region tested positive for COVID-19.
The parcel was sent to the Keyuan residential community in Zhongguancun of Haidian district from the Xilin Gol league in Inner Mongolia. The subdistrct community of Zhongguancun started emergency response and all the individuals and environment that had contact with the parcel were tested negative, according to a release from the community.
Recently, in response to some places reporting parcels testing positive, authorities in different places across China, including Beijing, Tianjin, and Xianning in Hubei Province have released notices to remind residents to take precautions upon receiving packages.
