The Chinese mainland on Wednesday reported 71 new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, the National Health Commission said in its daily report on Thursday.
Of the new local cases, 63 were reported in Shaanxi, four in Guangxi, two in Henan, and one each in Zhejiang and Guangdong, the commission said.
Also reported were 29 new imported cases in nine provincial-level regions, according to the commission.
The epidemic prevention and control headquarters of Shenqiu County, Zhoukou City, Henan Province issued a notice today that four positive persons were found in nucleic acid testing in the county, belonging to Xi'an self driving back to Shenqiu. On the evening of the 22nd, the Public Security Bureau of Shenqiu County issued a notice: it decided to file a case for investigation against Xie Mouhuan and other four people suspected of obstructing the prevention and control of infectious diseases.
