Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) and Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) have launched nucleic acid test services.
Beijing International Capital Airport has introduced the nucleic acid testing cabins at F1 of Parking Garage No.2 and B1 of Parking Garage No.3. During the trial operation which started on December 1, travelers can choose according to their needs between regular nucleic acid test service (report to be issued within 12-24 hours) and expedited nucleic acid test service (report to be issued within 6-8 hours) from 7:00 to 12:00 or from 13:00 to 1:00 the next morning.
Beijing Daxing International Airport has set up two nucleic acid testing spots: Parking Building P2 – First Floor - South of Aisle 10, and Terminal Gate 17 - First floor. Of these two locations, the former is operational from 9:00 to 18:00 everyday with reports to be issued within 6-8 hours fastest, while the latter provides 24-hour service with reports issued within 2-4 hours fastest.
No appointments required for the nucleic acid test service at the two airports, tourists can take onsite test upon arrival. The costs vary based on how fast the reports are issued in alignment with Beijing's price standard and the test results will be uploaded to Beijing Health Kit where tourists can check by themselves.
Here's a kind reminder from the Capital Airports Holding Company: tourists should wear masks while waiting for the test and keep a social distance of one meter from each other; tourists with fever symptoms should not run the test at the airport but seek medical attention at the fever clinics of hospitals; tourists should not take nucleic acid tests on the same day of vaccination.
