Shanghai reported 47 new COVID-19 deaths on April 27, down from 48 a day earlier, the local government said on Thursday.The average age of the deaths is 84.7 years old, the youngest is 67 years old, and the oldest is 101 years old. 47 patients with various primary underlying diseases, including cardiac insufficiency grade IV, myocardial infarction, hypertension grade 3 (very high risk), sequelae of cerebral hemorrhage, diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, uremia, sigmoid colon cancer, etc. After the patient was admitted to the hospital, the primary underlying disease aggravated, and the rescue was invalid and died. The immediate cause of death was the underlying disease.
The city, battling China’s biggest coronavirus outbreak, also saw 9,330 new asymptomatic cases on April 27, down from 11,956 a day earlier.
Confirmed symptomatic cases stood at 1,292, down from 1,606 the previous day.
