The Chinese mainland on Monday reported 199 locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 134 in Guangxi and 32 in Gansu, the National Health Commission said on Tuesday.
 

Altogether 500 local asymptomatic carriers were newly identified in 14 provincial-level regions on Monday.
 

A total of 122 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery on the Chinese mainland on Monday, said the commission.
 

As of Monday, the total number of COVID-19 patients discharged from hospitals after recovery reached 221,179 on the Chinese mainland.
 

Monday saw no new deaths from COVID-19, with the total death toll at 5,226.

今早，国家卫健委通报：7月18日0—24时，31个省（自治区、直辖市）和新疆生产建设兵团报告新增确诊病例237例，其中本土病例199例（广西134例，甘肃32例，四川12例，安徽6例，广东5例，天津4例，上海4例，江西1例，重庆1例），含56例由无症状感染者转为确诊病例（广西49例，四川5例，安徽1例，广东1例）。新增无症状感染者539例，其中本土500例（甘肃199例，广西109例，安徽73例，河南45例，上海19例，江西13例，四川12例，吉林9例，广东9例，天津7例，山东2例，北京1例，江苏1例，浙江1例）。
 

随着甘肃、广西、安徽等地疫情的持续发展，日增本土感染者数量居高不下，连续三天超过500例。在连续7天本土感染者零新增后，北京18日新增本土无症状感染者1例，系国际入境航班机组人员本土关联感染者。7月19日至21日，上海相关区域将开展“3天2检”全员核酸检测。上海18日新增本土新冠肺炎确诊病例4例和无症状感染者19例，均在隔离管控中发现。
 

成都本次疫情经病毒基因测序属VOC/Omicron BA.2.12.1变异株（即BG.2进化分支）；在国内本土疫情数据库中未发现同源序列，在全球数据库中查找病毒基因组差异最小为德国5月份上传的病毒序列。流行病学调查尚未发现病毒感染来源。该毒株传播力强，研究显示传播速度是BA.2的1.2倍。
