The Chinese mainland on Wednesday reported 345 locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases, of which 217 were in Hainan Province, the National Health Commission said on Thursday.
 

Altogether 1,289 local asymptomatic carriers were newly identified on Wednesday, including 521 in Tibet and 309 in Hainan, said the commission in its report.

北京24日无新增本土感染者，上海24日新增6例本土感染者，其中1例在社会面筛查发现。重庆昨天新增27例本土确诊病例和16例本土无症状感染者。河北8月24日本土新增确诊1例、无症状2例，在邢台、保定。海南新疆疫情形势继续向好。广州深圳近两日新增本土感染者分别来自发热门诊主动就医和社区筛查，疫情有社区传播风险。
