The Chinese mainland on Tuesday reported 204 locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases, the National Health Commission said Wednesday.
Altogether 630 local asymptomatic carriers were newly identified.
A total of 348 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery on the Chinese mainland on Tuesday, said the commission in its report.
The total number of COVID-19 patients discharged from hospitals after recovery reached 246,977 on the Chinese mainland as of Tuesday.
Tuesday saw no new deaths from COVID-19, with the total death toll at 5,226.

31个省（自治区、直辖市）和新疆生产建设兵团报告新增无症状感染者749例，其中本土630例（新疆116例，内蒙古52例，广东48例，湖南42例，陕西40例，湖北39例，浙江37例，四川31例，云南30例，重庆25例，山西23例，江苏22例，河南21例，广西18例，上海14例，山东12例，天津9例，北京8例，河北8例，宁夏7例，贵州6例，西藏6例，辽宁3例，安徽3例，江西3例，黑龙江2例，福建2例，甘肃2例，吉林1例）。
