People entering China from overseas should follow a "7+3" quarantine policy (7-day centralized quarantine and medical observation as well as a 3-day home health monitoring period) and receive nucleic acid tests accordingly before participating in the 5th China International Import Expo (CIIE), which will be held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10 as scheduled, according to a statement released on Monday by Shanghai Fabu, the information office's official WeChat account.
All participants are required to take at least one nucleic acid test within 48 hours before arriving in Shanghai and get a valid negative nucleic acid test certificate.
Participation is prohibited under certain circumstances, such as if participants have lived in or travelled to regions where there is a local pandemic risk within 10 days before arriving at the exhibition.
All participants (except special guests) have to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 two weeks before entering the exhibition areas, and eligible personnel are required to complete booster immunizations, according to the CIIE organizers.
A "landing test" will be strictly implemented, in which all visitors from other provinces and cities should take a nucleic acid test within 24 hours upon arrival in Shanghai. The policy of "two tests in three days" will also be carried out strictly, which means all participants should take at least two nucleic acid tests (at least 24 hours apart) within three days before entering exhibition areas for the first time, according to the authorities.
During the expo, all personnel entering exhibition areas and exhibition halls have to wear N95/KN95 particulate matter protective masks, and pay attention to hand hygiene and personal protection. They should also avoid gatherings of people as much as possible, said the authorities.
