Tianjing hosting Summer Davos is like killing two birds with one stone, said Li Bin, Deputy Director-General, Department of Foreign Affairs, National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and Jeremy Jurgens, Senior Director at the World Economic Forum agreed on this at today's press conference.
Jurgens said investments in infrastructure, such as railways and roads, can benefit employment in Tianjin.
Li said the Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center in Tianjin is not just specifically for the Davos Forum, but the development of the city. The center has held many large exhibitions, and it has been fully booked until mid next year.
Li Bin said, Summer Davos will attract many business leaders of large companies to Tianjin, and this is an opportunity to promote the city to the whole world as well as attract investment. Tianjin can achieve two goals through the forum.
