Recently, the Tianjin Municipal Government issued the "Notice of the Tianjin Municipal People's Government on Strengthening the Management of Illegal Low-speed Electric Vehicles", which clarified that a transition period will be set for existing illegal low-speed electric vehicles to be driven on the city's roads. The transition period will end on April 30, 2027. After the transition period (from May 1, 2027), illegal low-speed electric vehicles are strictly prohibited from driving on the road. Illegal low-speed electric vehicles refer to three-wheeled and four-wheeled electric vehicles (including elderly scooters, etc.) used to carry passengers or cargo.
