Tianjin plans to build six large culture and leisure centers in five suburban counties and districts in the next five years, the Tianjin Reform and Development Committee the municipality's top economic planner, said on 11 November.
The largest one among the six, Dream Valley in west of Tianjin's Jixian County, is to be completed by 2012 with an investment of 5.5 billion yuan. The valley, including an art hall, exhibition center, luxury cinema, animation and cartoon park and studios, aims to be a movie and TV center in northern China.
